NEW UNDERWATER HULL CLEANING SERVICES IN ALGECIRAS BAY
Trabajos Submarinos del Estrecho (TSE) has signed a partnership with GAC Environhull, and is proud to announce the Hull Cleaning kick off in the Port of Algeciras with the cutting edge HullWiper-ROV. The service is offered merging the technology provided by GAC Environhull with the in-depth knowledge and highly developed professional skills of TSE.
Through constant research, GAC Envirohull has designed and upgraded a ROV, capable of cleaning and recovering all the material detached from the hull surface through its filtering system. The variable pressure water jet ROV, does not require divers and is capable of cleaning up to 5 times faster than the traditional brush system operated by divers.
The system has been specially designed to be compliant with the following 3 key features:
• HSSE & PORT STATES
HullWiper-ROV, through its filtering system, recovers all the material detached from every cleaning, and this is disposed upon job completion in an environmental friendly manner, through an authorized waste collector.
This is the key feature that has helped the Company to earn permission from Local Port Maritime Authorities. The service is provided under an Environmental monitoring Plan that is constantly reviewed by Authorities.
The ROV operators work under a HSSE Plan that is on-site at every cleaning, and which is also reviewed in accordance with a commitment to continuous improvement.
• NO DAMAGE TO COATING
Unlike the traditional method with brushes operated by divers, the variable pressure water jet system (capable of working from 50 to 250 bar), is able to clean the vessel hull with minimum impact to anti-fouling or silicone based coatings.
• COST SAVINGS
• Operated without divers.
• Up to 5 times faster than traditional method.
• Loading / unloading, 24/7 cleaning time.
• 25-50% cheaper than traditional method (all parameters considered).
“A foul-free hull optimises vessel performance and fuel efficiency, and with HullWiper-ROV, cleaning can be conducted day or night while vessels are loading or unloading, eliminating downtime and saving you time and money”.
